A ‘5 Days National Level Faculty Development Program’ was conducted from 4th June to 8th June, in association with ‘Bombay Stock Exchange Broker’s Forum’ on the theme –

‘Post COVID State of Economy & Wealth Creation Strategies’, through online YouTube Live platform. 316 faculties from various PG & UG Institutes across India had actively

participated in this FDP. The resource person for the FDP was Mr. Aditya Srinivasan – Chief Operation Officer & Chief Economist of BSE Broker’s Forum. All the participants were provided with an e-participation certificate.

One Day Faculty Development Programme was organized in association with University of Mumbai on 5th October 2019 on the theme of “Research Report Writing”. The aim behind organizing FDP was to impart research culture among the faculties and research community. The key resource person was Dr.Ajay Kamble, Librarian of Anna Saheb Vartak College, Vasai.

The session started with lighting the lamp & welcoming the chief guest Dr. Ajay Kamble. The programme was scheduled in two segments starting from introduction of Research & Report Writing. Lecture session included practical aspects to design compile research work, Guidelines for formulating research report, Plagiarism & research integrity with UGC guideline. Post lunch practical lecture was scheduled. It included footnote, reference management tools, Proof reading, Anti-plagiarism techniques, writing assistant software & so on.

More than 40 research scholars registered for the FDP from various colleges across Mumbai. On behalf of VIVA IMR Director Dr. Hiresh Luhar felicitated the guest Dr. Ajay Kamble for his active & continuous support to the academic & research fraternity. The FDP concluded with an interaction with the participants & valedictory function and ended with huge success.

One Day Faculty Development Programme was organized in association with University of Mumbai on 5th January 2019 on the theme of “Research Data Analysis using SPSS”. The aim behind organizing FDP was to impart research culture among the faculties and research community. The key resource person was Dr. Madhukar Dalvi, faculty of Nagindas Khandwala College, Malad.

The session started with lighting the lamp & welcoming the chief guest Dr. Madhukar Dalvi who is very well-known as a subject expert in statistics (mathematics) among the researchers at the University of Mumbai. The programme was scheduled in four segments starting from Introduction of Research

  • Research Design, Components of a Research Design, Types of scales, Questionnaire, Sampling techniques ,Basic statistical tools
  • Session II
  • Analysis: Descriptive analysis, Data sheet preparation–Coding, Applications of Statistical software's – Excel & SPSS, Descriptive statistics ,Graphs and diagrams, Correlation and regression analysis, Output Understanding/reading
  • Session III
  • Analysis: Inferential Statistics, Applications of Statistical software's – SPSS ,Concept of Hypothesis, Basics of Parametric and Non Parametric, Testing, Selection of tests
  • Session IV
  • Testing using SPSS, Chi-square, t, z tests, ANOVA, etc. Analysis, Output Understanding/reading Writing Description, Interpretations and Conclusions of data

One Day Faculty Development Programme was organized on 1st September 2018 with the theme of “Online Research Strategies: Tools & Techniques” in association with “University of Mumbai” to enriched a research culture among academic fraternity. This programme was delivered by Dr. Santosh Hulagabali, Librarian of Nagindas Khandwala College, Malad The goal of this faculty development programme is to bring together researchers and faculty from various part of college and to provide & expand their knowledge about the Research Tools & Techniques which is useful for Research.

Dr. Santosh Hulagabali delivered the session in two parts, in first session he broadly highlighted on the area of subject. In second session this program explore advanced techniques to enhance research competencies, serve Hands on Practice of online tools Associates.

This development programme received an overwhelming response from VIVA Group of Institution participants as well as outside colleges. A horde of 40 participants made the FDP a grand success.

Mr Patil covered various topics in the area of Personal finance, Corporate Finance, Valuations and its impact on Mergers & acquisitions and recent trends in the business approaches on M&A on 17th December 2016.

He cited different examples to support his view. Towards the end of the event he also inspired the participants with the career tips and successful mantras of life and recommended many motivating books to be always referred to learn career lessons.

Faculty members and Management students of the institute across the steam actively participated on the occasion and made the seminar a success.

A one day FDP program on GST (Goods and Service Tax) and its role in financial world was conducted on 1st October 2016. Mr. Narendra Pati, Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years of taxation experience delivered the session. He broadly highlighted on the topics of GST, its importance with major benefits in eradication of black money, ease of doing business with transparency and the positive impact of increase in revenues to the Government. With the GST rollout by next year, he mentioned the implementation plan and its effect on tax payers, markets as well as our states with practical examples.

Faculties of various domain participated in the Development Program to gain insight on GST. There were 80 faculties and MMS students who attended the program. He brought a synergy among the audience with lot of excitement and enthusiasm. The success of FDP was high through interactive involvement of Faculties and students.
